This rhododendron at Ceperley Meadow in Stanley Park is so beautiful, I want to call it by name, not that I can promise to remember it. I would think that the auricular leaf base on somewhat long leaves would be distinctive, but I can't seem to figure out how to query that. And not all the leaves have those ears. The flowers have very faint markings but not really a splotch. The flowers as they open seem darker on the outside.
