Hello, I'm new here and in fact only signed up as I have this royal poinciana tree that I think is about to die :(

When I bought it about 2 months ago it was lovely, but a few weeks later the leaves went yellow and they all fell off. It was in a smaller pot, I replanted it into the large bucket you see in the photo... It is in the sunniest part of the balcony, but i may move it down into the back garden which might give it more sky... it has been pretty windy lately.

Here is Northern NSW in Australia it is the heat of summer although it isn't THAT hot right now.

I would be happy with the sprouting branches but the ends look like they have died as well. There are only a few leaves left.

Please if anyone knows what is wrong with it please tell me. I used some soil from the garden centre 'all purpose potting mix'.. the other day I sprinkled some 'blood and bone' fertiliser on it.. I was watering it a lot but I have now stopped as I think it could be too wet.

The roots could be baking in that black pot.
