Hello. I have a mexican fan palm that was doing good up until now. A few weeks ago, it started turning yellowish-brown. Nothing seems to be helping it. I've tried giving it more water, and I've tried giving it no water at all, I've put it up to my window for sunlight, and I've put it in the middle of my living room. I just don't understand. Usually, this is a sign of either overwatering or underwatering. Any ideas on what migt be happening to the palm? Could this have been caused if the plant was in too small of a pot? Thanks
As far as i remembr thats a washingtonia species??? If so, they dont do very well indoors, but put it outside for the summer. Where exaclty are you located? |You may beable to plant it outside
Have you thoroughly checked it's fronds for spider mites? I have one of these in my south window, and it is prone to spider mites. If growing it indoors, it does need *the most* sunlight you can provide it with, such as a south window.
