I live in Belton, Texas Zone 8, and I have a Dwarf Ponciana (Pride of Barbados) plant that has done beatifully over the summer. Do I need to trim it back, and how far; will it come back in full bloom next spring? Also, I have a Banana Tree (unknown variety) should I only cut it down to near ground if it fruits, or should I routinely do it every winter. Thanks for any help I can get.
