Dwarf Japanese Maple

    Can you root a dwarf japanese maple from a cutting and if so, what is the proper proceedure?

    It's really hard. There are some specialty nurseries that sell Japanese maples that have been propagated this way, so obviously it's possible. But it's rarely done.

    You might have better luck with air-layering.
