I want to plant a dwarf cherry tree (fountain) by my front steps and walk. I only have a ranch style house, so I want to keep the tree small.

Does anyone have pics of these small trees to send to me? I am wondering if with proper pruning I will be able to keep it small so that it is just a cute little fixture next to my walkway.

Also, what is the shortest height I can keep it to? I really don't want more than a 5,6 foot tree. Is this unreasonable? Should I opt for something else? Love the weeping "umbrella-like" flowers.

Thanks for any advice you can offer! This is my first blog!

Consider compact Stella and compact Lambert.
