We have a Dwarf Alberta Spruce about 2 years old. This spring a small white web substance has covered all the branches inside the tree killing those branches. Seems to be only on one side but moving to the other side. We also noticed the web extending down onto the soil. I looked for spiders but could not see any. Seems to be too perfect ot be spiders since it covers all the branches.

    Please help....

What you have a is bad case of spider mites. These trees are very prone to them. A teaspoon of liquid dish soap mixed with water in a spray bottle will do it for you. Get right in there and soak the whole tree, trunk, branches, everything. Then rinse it clean with clean water. Do that every couple of days for a while and you're in the clear. They (spider mites) like it dry, so if you spray it well with water every so often it will stop it from getting this bad again.
