Will fireweed seed pods dry and produce mature seeds if removed from the plant? Can I put something over the pods (cheesecloth or paper bag...?) to catch the fluffy seeds? I'm having a hard time "catching" the pods before they open and blow everywhere. I know digging sections of root works, but I'd like to try it from seed. pam
