Dry/dead tree tops at lower Grouse Mt

    On the Grouse gondola ride I noticed many dry/dead tree tops at the lower part of Grouse Mt, looked to be Douglas Fir and Hemlock trees. Is it know what the cause is? Also saw a high number of caterpillars on the ground in the same ‘zone’.
