I got a few herb plants almost a week ago and they all seem to be doing fine except my Thai Basil plant. It's looking droopy, the color hasn't changed & it doesn't smell like basil (or anything) anymore. The soil felt dry so I gave it some water and it perked up slightly, but is still droopy. It's in a pot inside my apartment and doesn't get a lot of sun. The sweet basil plant I got the same day seems very happy and smells great!

    Any suggestions?

it needs full sun and make sure you've watered it thoroughly.

i don't think that one has too much scent...that's the one with the purple leaves, correct?

No, it has light green leaves. It smelled great when I bought it.

OK, I just don't have a place by a window I can put it... I'm now on a mission to figure it out. The lady at the greenhouse I bought it from said it didn't need much sun *shrug*

    Thank you.

oh, sorry!! i'm thinking of a different type, then i guess. had it a couple of years ago and i thought i remembered the name correctly...

if it had a nice scent before, then it should still have it.

maybe the soil isn't right for the variety? too much water combined with soil that doesn't drain as well as it needs could cause root rot. and that would cause the drooping.

did you google it? i'm sure you'll find info for that variety.
