I live in Florida where many Petra Croton are planted outside. I have one potted on my lanai outside & the cool breezed last week (maybe 55 at night) may have made the leaves droop. It is not dead...there are new leaves sprouting from the top. Will it recover or do I need to cut it down below the leaves for new growth? Thanks...
Could be a reaction to getting dry. How bad is the droop? I would move the plant to a more protected spot, give it a good watering, and await developments. Time will tell you what to do.
Looks like a mature, healthy plant otherwise. I think it'll be OK. ---Yes, I know when something happens to a plant the urge is to DO SOMETHING...but, sometimes, the best thing to do is nothing!---Appears as though it is getting some good strong light in its new location: make sure that you keep a constant moisture and temp. level. Crotons like it humid, warm, and sunny, and are quick to react when they want adjustments made. I like the glaze on your pot!
