I bought 10 of the 'smaragd' this time last year and planted them in good top soil. They are all doing well but I noticed a couple of them, their tops are drooping and the branches seem to easily hnag away from the main trunk. Any ideas of what woudl cause this ? They drooping ones are in different parts of the yard.

    Thanks in advance

Fastigiate variants of conifers such as 'Smaragd' are prone to snow bending branches out during winter. Maybe you are seeing aftereffects of winter.
