Hello I just have what I think is a quick question....First a little background. I am installing a drip Irrigation system in the back yard for an area that is 60' wide x 25' in depth. It is a sloped/terraced area. I have a water pressure of 80 PSI out of the house hose bib that delivers 480 gallons/hr. Should I regulate this pressure down to 30PSI or can I just leave it and use the 80 PSI ? The slope of the hillside from the 3/4" PVC water source is approximately 12 - 15'. As you can see from the photo we have a lot of work ahead of us.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Different drip irrigation systems have different working pressures. The catalogue should give details for the product/ system you are thinking of using. Given the large height difference in the area you want to irrigate, you may need intermediate valves in the main supply pipe or different types of outlets to equalise the output at each point - otherwise you may have a flood at the bottom and a drought at the top!

Really, I think that you need to get hold of the catalogue/manual and spend some time calculating and designing your system on paper.

    Good Luck
