Drama on a Daylily Leaf

    Until I saw this spider capturing an earwig today while I was deadheading a daylily, I would never have guessed that earwigs could be spiders' prey. Maybe this explains why I see so many spiders and so few earwigs.

    The picture turned out fuzzy but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to record the conflict.
