    i just hope it makes a fruit this one is suposed to have a pineapple flavor to it i did pollinate it with its own pollen does anyone know if you can save the pollen on cactus like you would with brugmansia or datura ?

    it can be stored for a while. selen/hylos seem to drop pollen and stigmas become more receptive at different times, but if you got the actual pollen on there then its probably good :) cant wait to see fruit. Has it fruited before? was it nice and yellow?

    this was the first bloom just got big enough to flower so have not seen the fruti off of this one the only cactus relative that has had a fruit so far is the one allot of people call night blooming cereus or queen of the night not sure of the species name but its the one that you can grow in a pot and has flat more leaf looking stems it was small but tasted good
