dracunulus vulgaris dying

    my plant opened up and this awful stench came from it. i know this is normal. now all of the sudden the flower and stalk is drying out. the greenery is fine. is this a normal stage for this plant?

    yes.. the bloom will die out and then the foliage will stay.... its not dying!!!!

    I also have the (dracunulus vulgaris) you can see the plant,if you visit my posts.My plant after it blooms each year.Completely dies out,leaves and stalk,blooms everything.It looks like it is gone forever! Then out of nowhere in or around April, I always am suprized to see it come from underground. And bloom in June sometime.Each year it has more blooms than the year before. And is about a foot taller each year.
