I'm new to this forum. But I do a have a short question. I have a dogwood (c.Florida) that was planted in early April in 2012. I didnt see it in bloom. Its the winter now and IO notice some of the branches have buds that have 3 flowering buds all together. What species is it? And is 3 flowering buds on one twig better?
You stated at the beginning the species was Cornus florida. You think the clustering of some of the buds makes it a particular cultivar? Maybe not. You can tell by looking at other C. florida or pictures of their budded winter twigs.
