    One of the knotweeds related to Japanese Knotweed. Potentially invasive, though yours seems to be fairly well-behaved (not spreading widely)

    That's what I was told, but I couldn't believe it because I bought it from a garden centre.
    They have since gone out of business, probaly for selling weeds. LOL

    Compare with Polygonum polystachyum (Persicaria wallichii).

    Yes: polymorpha instead of polystachya.
