Does anyone know what kind of mite this is?

    There are these white slow moving mites living on the surface of my houseplants. I have also found them on the leaves of my plants as well. Here is a picture of one I took under a microscope.

    OOPS! There is a typo in my post. The mites are on the SOIL surface of my houseplants as well as on the leaves.

    Ihad these kind of mites on my coffee machine 2 years ago, guy from council came and said they were from flour in the kitchen. Throw the plant out and start again.

    Try county Extension office. They can probably tell you, if something new they don't have a name for they should be alerted to it anyway.
