Does anyone know the proper name for a plant sold as "Red Berry"?

    I understand this plant is sold in the Fraser Valley of BC and also in the Okanagen Valley.
    Here is a look at the seed and the kernel. I received some seed and am planning to plant but I am in Zone 3 so would like to know if I need to grow it inside in the real cold.

    Very difficult to identify from seed, unless someone has direct experience. And "red berry" is not a common name I'm familiar with, either. Sorry.
