Does any one know what kind of flower this is?

    I have been living in this house for 6 years. We just had a large tree removed and low and behold, this flower showed up in my garden 3 weeks later. I believe it is a bulb.

    Lycoris radiata.

    I have many many of them in full bloom in my front yard at this very moment!!!! :-O

    After they bloom, the bulbs produce attractive deep green leaves with a white midstripe that will persist over the winter until spring. Leave the leaves alone so they can produce food for next year's crop of flowers. They bloom best after a hot dry summer.
