Identification: Do you know this vine?

    I have just noticed it blooming locally. I have moved from the interior a few years back & still am not familiar with lots of local plants.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Lathyrus ....... Purple pea

    I don't think so. I am familiar with Lathyrus.
    This does not have the distinctive pea type flowers. It has a balloon shape flower bud & the flower is round with 3 petals. The flower is scented & about 20mm across.
