I have a rather large Gas plant and I understand they do not like to be disturbed. Has anyone successfully divided this plant? If so, what is the best method?

The division of the tough, carrot like roots is difficult, and the plant really does not enjoy being disturbed. I know of no method of division that does not really set the plant back. BTW, the best method to propagate is to plant seeds as soon as they are ripe and before the seed coat hardens. If it has hardened, soak them in hot water before planting. - Millet

Thank you for your reply. Do you happen to know how easily this plant takes from seed?

With fresh seed, propagation is straight forward and rather easy. - Millet
