I planted a Forsythia 3 years ago and each June after the leaves appear, parts of them turn brown. Generally the plant looks distressed but so far it has not died. Any idea what could be the problem?
I had a large Forsythia in this same place for many years and it was healthy. I had to take it out when we changed the landscaping. I thought these plants were pretty indestructible!

    That looks like winter damage.
