Here's a picture of my (2) Japanese Maple Trees. When we bought this house 2 years ago, there wasn't any difference between the two trees, that is, they looked equally healthy. Now, one of them is losing leaves on the tips of the branches and looks spindly and dry. The other only 20 feet away is healthy and thriving. What could be casuing this and is it treatable? We've tried putting fertilizer spikes all around it in the groud below but nothing improved. Should we prune off the seemingly dry branches off the top? HELP!
