My giant pumpkins died, due to drought. I had also planted some white pumkins, and there's a small pumpkin growing! The problem is that some of the leaves are turning yellow and dying. Is my pumpkin plant diseased, or are its leaves just dying? They get all yellow and spotty at the edges, then the spots wither and rot. Then, the yellow dots that haven't withered and rotted grow and grow until the entire leaf is withering, yellow, and rotting. Then, the whole leaf crumbles and falls off the plant. It's just a few leaves, though.

Take samples of affected parts to local source of information, such as trusted independent garden center or - in the US (you don't say where you are) - nearest Cooperative Extension office (search online for "[your state] cooperative extension").

Canadians may have similar government resources available, I don't know.
