disease affecting currant bushes

    These currant bushes have had this disease for a few years. I have attached a photo of the damage to the leaves. This year the disease seems even worse. The bushes still produced currants but not as much as in years past. Does anyone know what the disease affecting these currants are? Thanks

    This looks like leaf damage caused by the Currant blister aphid (Cryptomyzus ribis). It makes the leaves look like that but does not affect the fruit (harvest potential).

    Thank you! I did more research and you're right. I'll treat the bushes this winter for the aphid's eggs.. I garden organically so i won't use pesticides to try and kill the aphids themselves.. Thanks again..
