visited a large nursery today and portions of the bark on both the limbs and trunks on many of their maples was a dull tan on trees that should have been a dark red --this obviously detracts from the appearance but doesnt seem to have any negative impact on the plant material---could this be a fungus?
of course with pics ,the ID fungus is better,however in this period some little damage on trunk are normal,the maples bark change color (usually red or crimson)in winter ,is also possible that Pseudomas,damage a little the branch,or bark ....
