My wife bought me some dinner plates plants which I planted this spring. They got hit with bugs but have come back from that and are growing well in sept. I don't know what she bought nor does she recall what site she ordered from so I am unsure if they are hardy. If they are...should a covering of heavy mulch protect them well enough over a harsh massachusetts winter ? I am in zone 6 outside of Boston.

I also bought some hardy seeds from Ebay and plan to grow them starting in perhaps January so I have small plants to put out in late may. Suggestions are very welcome for this process as I hear they are tough to get going.

    Thanks Guys & Gals
