    What is difference between Acer matsumurae , A. palmatum, A. amoenum?

    Botanical sub-categories of A. palmatum. A. palmatum palmatum would be the typical species, with A. palmatum amoenum and A. palmatum matsumarae other versions. Books like Vertrees/Gregory, JAPANESE MAPLES and Gelderen/Gelderen, MAPLES FOR GARDENS go into the details - as no doubt do some web sites discussing different kinds of Japanese maples.
