    Hello,

I am a resident of the SW United States and I have a hiking trip planned for British Columbia next spring. Is there was a dichotomous key with a focus on Vancouver Island available? Something like this for the region would be amazing.

    Thank you in advance.

The "Illustrated Flora of British Columbia" has also got keys. Unfortunately it is a rather costly edition in 8 volumes which is much too heavy to carry it around during your hikes and which requires quite a lot of space on a bookshelf. But the rest of the books is also remarkable. It is accessible via the e-flora bc page (http://www.eflora.bc.ca/) and it might be a good idea to have a look at this material after looking your plants up in the "Flora of the Pacific Northwest". The old edition of this book which I have got (1981 edition) has a major disadvantage. Many of the neophytes are simply missing. I do not know whether this has been changed in the meantime.
