My beautiful large Dersert Rose plants caudex is losing it's outer layer. What is happening and how can I correct this problem. Thanks for any advise.

can you post a pic? That would be very helpful in trying to ID the problem.

I too, would like to see a photo. The peeling off of dead tissue on the caudex is something I have only heard of, but never seen. I have several species of Adenium, so I am interested in seeing this.

All that said, most problems with Adenium this time of year would be from too much water and/or poor soil drainage, that, in turn, may be causing rot. My Adeniums are now slowing down, have had their organic-rich soil exchanged for a low-nutrient bonsai soil, and have been moved indoors. From now until March, it will be a water-when-dry regimen.
