I have has desert roses most of my life and they have done well. I have from 1 year to 30 year old desert roses. In November I trimmed them for the first time. A women here told me how to do it. I trimmed the branch, squeezed the sap with a t- shirt/rag, put cinnamon on the end to heal and 2 days later put waterproof wood glue to keep the dampness/water from going in and causing root rot. that is the only thing I did different other than re potting a few of them. Now in the past month or so I have tons of new buds that start to curl up or split open, they look like they are deformed and others are tiny buds that turn brown, get hard and fall off. what am I doing wrong??? I want to help them. I have new ones that I did not trim and they are doing the same thing, is this spreading? I have sprayed them with the Neem oil in case it was a fungus or insects... I have also watered the soil with a mix of epson salts. in the past 10 days. should I be patient for results. it is heart breaking to see all of my babies not doing so well. please help. I have attached several pictures, please help, thanks!
