I'm looking for a deep cupped hosta and there are so many! Not particular about size, colour or growth rate. Any personal favorites? I can only give it 2 hours sunlight max. as it has to be protected from hail. Thanks in advance.

Indeed, Abiqua Drinking Gourd pretty much rates as THE cupped Hosta. It does get to be a fair size though, allow for a mature size of around 60" x 20". It will be slow to mature, being a Tokudama cross. If this size is too large you might want to look for Monashee Blue Cup, a Canadian introduction from John Montgomery of Vernon. I picked it up last year and the tag with it gave a mature size of 18" x 12", but being an immature plant I'm dealing with I must admit I did not as yet see a great deal of the cupping and I would expect it to be another couple of years anyway before I'll get a good feel for whether or not it lives up to its billing a smaller ADG.

The Canadian introduction gets my vote. I have emailed Ambrosia Gardens (formerly Monashee Perennials) and hopefully they ship. Thanks Ron B. and Pieter.
