Deadhead hollyhocks?

    Should you dead head hollyhocks in the Fall? This is the first year I planted hollyhocks.

    I wouldn't do it... Hollyhocks tend to be biennial, or short lived perennials.
    Dead-heading biennials means that they're gone!

    Leaving them alone... means keeping them around... biennials usually do a very nice job of replacing themselves in a garden that meets their basic needs.
