DEAD MEXICAN ORANGE TREES

    I was very surprised to see 3 dead Mexican Orange trees that i planted a few years ago have died.
    They have done very well until this year. Also, some other exotic plants died that had thrived for years.
    Was there something different about this winter that caused this?

    Yes, the difference was the cold; it got down to -15.3 C at YVR on Dec 27, 2021, which is chillier than most sub-tropical plants can tolerate.

    We lost 5 lavender plants (English, Spanish) and two well established rosemary. It was a cold, windy winter.
