Dead Magnolia Tree

Discussion in 'Magnoliaceae' started by Unregistered, Nov 24, 2005.

  1. Hello, I live in Louisiana and I have a Magnolia Tree that we have had for over 30 years. I think this summer was just to much for the tree because a lot of the leaves are brown. What can I do to save the rest of the tree? I would say about 75% of the leaves are dead.
    Thanks, Serena

Salt water inundation? Root rot? Depends on what is wrong.

Wait until next spring before making a decision on removing it - it may sprout from the thicker stems.
