I purchased this houseplant at a local home improvement store. It was in an 8" pot and was so thick the pot kept falling over. I found a nice stone pot and transplanted it. Since then, the fronds keep falling out and it’s about half as dense as it was when I got it. Did I do it harm re-repotting it?

Hmm. Might be having some transplant shock.
How much do you water and how often? Does your new pot have good drainage, i.e. holes in the bottom?

I was thinking transplant shock too. The pot does have a hole in the bottom and I have stopped watering it to let the soil dry out a little. I think I may have been watering to much as well. I am going to do nothing as my next course of treatment and see how that works.

Sounds good. Be sure that your fern is warm and moist, but not getting fried in direct sunlight.
In Florida, it should do OK in the warm and moist department!

Yah, I have moved it to a place where the A/C isn't blowing on it and it can have indirect sunlight. in the afternoon. Thank you for all your help. This site rocks!

It does indeed. You will see plants and read posts from all over the world, and learn a lot. The depth of knowledge among forum members never ceases to amaze me.
    Enjoy!

I know! I found this site by accident when I was looking for info on something else. I ended up spending a couple of hours reading all the posts and threads. And yes, I jest read a post from someone in England...
