My hubby had an accident with his ATV on Wed & took off several pieces of bark on a very small cherry tree. Now that it's been wounded & open to the elements, I was wondering how I could give it first aid. Is there something that can be painted on to close the wounds? Help please, I don't want to lose this tree.

    Thank you.

From what I've read about pruning, which says not to paint over the cuts, I infer that you need not do anything to the tree. It will heal itself.
