I don't know the first thing about planting daffodils, so I can use all the help I can get. Today, I purchased (6) 6" pots with daffodils and I want to split them up and plant them in two of my large containers situated on either side of my front stairs. The small 6" pots have several bulbs in them all sprouted up. My question? Do I separate the bulbs when I plant them in the larger pots or should I leave them and not disturb the roots. Do you think they will grow on the east side of my house where there is morning sun and afternoon shade? Thanks again for all your help.

I would leave them for this year and plant them into one pot. When they die back late spring through summer then lift them and you can split them. Around here the commercial growers take them up in autumn (about to start) and during early winter they plant their specimen beds up for spring. As I am unsure of your weather conditions I don't know the months that would be suitable. We do not have really cold winters.
