I was wondering how much sun this European hardy orchid requires/tolerates. It is my understanding that it grows in open fields as opposed to being a woodland plant - is that corrrect? You can see a picture of one half way down the front page at www.rhodo.citymax.com
Hello Bill, Based on the number of freely-seeding hybrid Dactylorhiza growing throughout the alpine garden at UBC, I'd say they are very tolerant of sun.
