    Is this plant Cytisus? Flowers were red-yellow. Fruits look strange?!
    This is near bus stop 16 Ave before turning to Marine Dr. at UBC

    Yep, Gorse Ulex europaeus. The seed pods in your pic are immature, they'll turn dark grey-brown when ripe.
