I have a severe onslaught of (confirmed) Cypress tip moths in Ladner. This has been an ongoing problem for 15 years. I used to use Diazinon (which is now banned) until 5 years ago - which controlled the problem quite well, although it never completely got rid of them. With the banning of this product and our having kids now, I have only been using Safer's Insecticidal soap - which has had no effect to speak of. Now my hedges are under severe attack with a number of them having completely dead patches. I have tried prunning in the fall to remove infected leaves with cocoons, but this has not erradicated the problem. I would like to save what I can now -so can anyone recommend a "proven" product. Also, as we are in the second week of June, am I still within the cycle to apply insecticide?
