Hello, I have this plant which I think is a cymbidium and am trying to figure out the exact species. Notice that the leaves end in a bilaterally asymmetric pattern.
Can't claim to be an expert on orchids, but the species I know with leaves like that is what I believe is C. finlaysonianum. They grow it on the trunks of trees in Thailand, like these ones in Rama IX Park in Bangkok. The leaf tip being blunt and rounded is more significant than its being asymmetric. I think you will find that most blunt-tipped or notched orchid leaves are asymmetric to some degree, as are those of many other monocots.
