I have a problem with soft scale on my 20' camellias . I am aware of the use of soap/pyrythrin and oil treatments . The infestation has become quite bad and I would like to resort to a systemic treatment ( painting the tree trunk ) as well as an oil treatment at some point ( advice on summer oil treatment would be welcomed ) . I still have some Cygon2e from before everything was banned , and I am wondering about the saftey of it on the camellias . Can anyone advise ? I don't want to damage the plants due to the fact they are an intregal part of my privacy screen from the monster house in behind me . Any other advice would be greatly appreciated . Thanks in advance .
