I had a stock of CYGON 2e and I did not realize that it is now banned, until I went to buy it (spring 2009). I had used it to put around the trunks of my BIRCH trees, to prevent insects going up to the leaves.

Question: What can I use now to put around the trunks?

Note: I telephoned the number on the CYGON box, 1-800-268-2806, left a message,
received a call, and was told that the company could not suggest anything to replace it.

consider tanglefoot paste. Here in BC there are no systemic insecticides registered for use by consumers unless they hold a valid pesticide applicators license, thereafter the use is ruled locally by city and municipal bylaws.
