My grandmother received a bouquet of flowers recently, and she's curious as to what they are. I really have no idea even as to which family they belong, so I wanted to see if anyone on here might be able to help. I can take more photos if necessary.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The blue one is a double Lisianthus, and the pink one is a Protea of some kind, I think. The Latin name for Lisianthus is Eustoma grandiflorum in the Gentianaceae, and I think the Proteas have their own family. There are a bunch of them, mostly in South Africa and Australia.

My compliments to whomever ordered these flowers, and/or the florist. Wow! Far more interesting than the usual carnations/mums/baby's-breath bouquets. Very nice.
