I have four potted tomato plants (beefsteak and super steak). I bought these from a reputable plant seller. They did well for two months, grew about a foot and then suddenly the hot weather turned rainy, the plant has stopped growing and the top leaves are curled. They look like furn leaves while the bottom leaves are all healthy. Any idea what is happining and can they be saved?

Have you checked for aphids inside the curled up leaves? That's one common cause of this condition. The aphids normally go for the new growth and leave the old growth alone.

It could be from a number of things. Even one hot day can do that to some of the plants. I would just monitor it if there are no signs of pests or disease.

A little stress like that might even be good for flower production.
