it looks like a Dracenea (sp?) Marginata .. and also is that one of those decorative pots that dont have drainage in the bottom ??. if it dont have drainage i would move it to another pot and dont water it as much let the dirt dry out some before watering it again ..

    good luck with it :)

I agree - it looks like Dracaena marginata 'Tricolor'.

It is Dracaena marginata 'Bicolor'. Tricolor is much more colourful.

Nandan, what leaf pattern do you consider to be 'Bicolor'? (Doesn't bicolor imply two colors?) 'Tricolor' has a green leaf center, followed by gold and finally a red margin. Conditions of culture may account for the plant in the photo being less 'colorful'.

You may be right, Nandan, and I may have answered my own question. I saw a plant labelled as 'Bicolor' today and it looked quite similar to this one. The leaf center was a narrow band of gold, followed by lime green, and finished off with a red margin. This basic pattern had a washed out appearance and varied greatly from leaf to leaf. 'Tricolor' has much more distinct banding.
