I have had a succesful yield from English long Telegraph Improved cucumbers which have provided superb looking and tasting fruit. But, suddenly the plants in my greenhouse have started to wilt. I have four plants growing in separate (large) containers. two plants show no heat wilt stress, but the other two do. The leaves collapse like limp rags. inspite of misting and lowering of greenhouse temperature. What could be causing this.

The only time my cucumber leaves droop like rags is lack of water. I have four plants growing in a 5 gallon container placed outdoors in the garden, by accident rather than design. The leaves will droop quickly in one day , unless I water heavily. Cucumbers react quickly to a watering, and the drooping will disappear within a few hours.
